Rules for Competitors

1. Senior Sports Competition is open. 
2. All competitive sections are open to residents of Lewis and Harris. 
   
3. Exhibitors may compete with more than one exhibit and may take more than one prize in any class. 
   
4. All exhibits must be bona-fide the property of the exhibitor. 
   
5. All industrial exhibits must be the exhibitor’s own work. 
   
6. Should entries in any class not exceed three, the committee reserve the right to reduce the value and/or number of awards. 
   
7. Industrial work which took a prize at a previous Carloway Show does not qualify for the competition. 
   
8. No exhibits to be taken away till 5p.m. Prizes can be collected in the Committee Room after 4pm on the day of the Show. 
   
9. In all competitions, three points will be awarded for 1st Prize, two for 2nd Prize and one point for 3rd Prize. 
   
10. Exhibits, other than livestock, must be in their places by 11 a.m. on the day of the Show. Livestock must be in no later than 1p.m. 
    
11. The decision of the Judges will be final. 
    
12. All trophies to be returned in polished condition by the eve of the show.
